Neuroblastoma Little Heroes

Enjoy a wonderful family day out in Western Sydney and support Neuroblastoma Australia!

RunWest is Western Sydney’s premier annual community event and the first ever major running festival in Western Sydney. The event is being organised by Athletics Australia, in partnership with West HQ , New South Wales Government and Athletics NSW. Neuroblastoma Australia will be taking part with our very own  Neuroblastoma Little Heroes wave in the 4km Family Fun Run   or 12km Family Fun Run. The  4km run starts  at 10 am from Blacktown Sports Centre.   The 12k Fun Run starts at 7 am in the Sydney Motorsport Park runs through the new Sydney Zoo, through Western Sydney Parklands and finishes at WESTHQ. Super early bird registrations for RunWest start at just $15 and for a limited time includes a free pass to the new Sydney Zoo*. Registrations are now open at www.runthewest.com.au  and you can help support Neuroblastoma Australia when registering by simply ticking the box next to Neuroblastoma Little Heroes under Community Challenge or creating a fundraising page on Go Fundraise.

Interact with sports stars at the RunWest Start Zone and enjoy the array of entertainment on offer before you hit the start line, take in all of the on-course entertainment at your own pace, and enjoy the massive finish line festival at West HQ with your family and friends.

You can make a difference. When you register for RunWest simply select Neuroblastoma Little Heroes under Community Challenge and 25% of your ticket registration will go towards future sports events, such as Run2Cure Neuroblastoma,  which supports our charity. You can also choose to fundraise for us when you register to help fund targeted neuroblastoma research.

Minimum age: There is no minimum age however all entrants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian for the entire duration of the event and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant under 12.

There is more fun to be had

There will also be an exciting four day Expo in the Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre at West HQ, 55 Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill NSW 2766 from Thursday March 28 – Sunday March 31 with free admission to all participants and the general public. Visit the RunWest website for full details.

About Neuroblastoma Australia

Neuroblastoma Australia, a registered charity founded by Sienna’s parents and other families with children affected by the disease. The charity received GDR tax deductible status in 2014 and has raised over $1.4 million for research.

Christmas is rapidly approaching and today we are launching our Neuroblastoma Australia Christmas Appeal for those people who, like us, want to see an end to neuroblastoma childhood cancer.

We know there’s still a lot of work to be done, so much still needs to be discovered, how scientists painstakingly unravel all the elements of this complex childhood cancer. We know research can get us closer to a cure.
