Community Support

Natalie and Jake Run For Jai

Inspired by the resilience and strength of Jai, a school friend of their boys, Natalie and Jake are running 44kms of the Great Ocean Road Marathon. Jai, lost his battle to relapsed neuroblastoma. Natalie said that, "I was shocked and horrified by what I learnt.

- The average age of diagnosis for neuroblastoma is just 2 years old
- Only half of the children diagnosed with aggressive neuroblastoma survive
- The children that do survive often have long term side affects from the actual treatments used."

Natalie and Jake are fundraising for children like Jai, who are taken by neuroblastoma. They also believe that no family should go through the heart wrenching, crushing and life long grief that families with neuroblastoma suffer and that no child should have a life that was never lived. You can donate to the cause via this link.

Tahlia's Shave

Tahlia Baker, inspired by her nephew Will, who was diagnosed with stage 3 neuroblastoma at five-years-old, shaved her head to raise funds for Neuroblastoma Australia.
Tahlia wanted to show support for Will, and other children with neuroblastoma. “I am raising money for research to find safer and more effective treatments, so children with this awful disease can have a better chance to grow up and live a happy, cancer-free life.”
The shave took place at Westmead hospital, where Will is scheduled to start his next treatment program. Tahlia set a target of $2,500 which she smashed - the current total is $3842!
Tahlia’s fundraising page will stay open a little longer. If you’d like to support Tahlia’s fundraising and get her total over the $4,000 mark, donate via this link.

Nat Nat's Day

Michele Johnson’s granddaughter was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma, along with an auto immune disease. To help children like her granddaughter, Michele reached out to us to organise a fundraising event. She hosted Nat Nat's Day on Sunday 24th July. The family fun day consisted of a sausage sizzle, lots of games and great stalls. Nat Nat's Day was a fabulous event and raised an amazing $1700!
We would like to extend our thanks to Michele, her family, and friends for supporting and donating to this amazing cause.

As a small charity, community fundraising really makes a significant difference to us, and we are very grateful for these fundraisers to help us fund research for this aggressive toddler cancer.
If you would like to host a community fundraising event, you can find information and event ideas on our website.
