Our autumn 2024 Cook2Cure took place on May 23, 2024, at North Sydney's beautiful Sails on Lavender Bay.

Guests joined us for a stunning 3-course meal in this iconic harbourside restaurant with dress-circle views of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the glittering city skyline.

It was a fantastic evening with incredible and inspiring speakers.

Our thanks to Dr Jamie Fletcher from Children's Cancer Institute for explaining how funding from Neuroblastoma Australia supports his work tackling aggressive neuroblastoma.

We are also very grateful to Jenny Northey who kindly shared her son Eli's personal story with neuroblastoma.

Together, we raised just over $19,000 from the event so a huge thanks to everyone for being so generous and recognising the value of what we do.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to the six families who attended who had been personally affected by Neuroblastoma.

Our Inspiration

COOK2CURE is dedicated to Sienna Hoffmann, a special little girl who is the inspiration behind the charity Neuroblastoma Australia.

Sienna was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was just nine months old and endured relentless treatments. After 10 months Sienna was in remission, but sadly the cancer returned just after she turned two years old. There is currently no cure for relapsed neuroblastoma.

Tragically Sienna passed away when she was just two and a half years old. Too many young children lose their lives to this disease – their future and the expected future of an entire family is suddenly cruelly destroyed. The only way to find answers to this disease is through research and funding.
